CELEBRATING LEADERSHIP & SERVICE
Our 2027 Honorees
Catalyst for Change Award
The Honorable Andrea Barton Reeves
Commissioner, Connecticut Department of Social Services
Commissioner Reeves leads the state's largest human services agency, serving 1.2 million Connecticut residents. Person to Person is proud to recognize her leadership and commitment to creating systems that help individuals and families access greater security, opportunity and care.
About the Award
The Catalyst for Change Award is presented to extraordinary
individuals who embody the mission and vision of Person to Person, champions of stability, opportunity, and community empowerment. This prestigious recognition honors those who create lasting impact, recognizing those who not only inspire change but actively create it to ensure that communities have the resources, support, and access needed to build a more just and equitable future.

Mountaintop Volunteer Award
NBC Sports
Accepted by Terri Leopold, Vice President, Administration
From its Stamford headquarters, NBC Sports supports coverage of the world's most prominent sporting events. Its growth and extensive production operations have strengthened Stamford's role in the national sports media landscape and connected Fairfield County with audiences across the country.
About the Award
The Mountaintop Volunteer Award honors an individual whose
extraordinary service reflects the heart of our mission,
advancing dignity, compassion, and community. This award is rooted in our founding. In 1968, in the wake of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.'s assassination, our organization was established at St.
Luke's Church under the leadership of Rev. Back, a close friend of
Dr. King. From a moment of profound loss, our founders chose to
act. The name “Mountaintop” is inspired by Dr. King's final speech,
where he spoke of seeing the Promised Land and called on others to continue the journey.
Headlining Artist
Stephanie Mills
Grammy Award-winning singer, songwriter and Broadway star whose unmistakable voice has shaped R&B and musical theater for more than five decades. She rose to national prominence originating the role of Dorothy in the seven-time Tony Award-winning Broadway production of The Wiz, and in 2025 Billboard named her one of the 75 greatest R&B singers of all time.
